The Patriarch: Nguni Fine Art Canvas Print | 1:1.33 Ratio
Description
The ancestral herd, engineered for endurance.
The Patriarch serves as a profound link between Nico Meyer’s Structural Wildlife collection and the pastoral heritage of Southern Africa. This study honors the Nguni steer, the historic cornerstone of wealth and identity, by reimagining its form through the signature lens of digital and architectural deconstruction.
The Vision In this piece, the Nguni is cast as The Patriarch. The artwork explores the connection between the steer’s iconic coat pattern and a rigid, geometric underlay of industrial "blueprint" lines. It is a dialogue between ancient heritage and modern structure—a reflection on the endurance of cultural identity, suggesting that the herd is held together by the precise planning of both nature and memory.
